Empoweing young minds initiative
In 2023, we organised a workshop with a primary emphasis on enlightening participants about the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act). Throughout the sessions, a dedicated team of specially onboarded lawyers meticulously analyzed the act, highlighted its crucial features, and comprehensively explained the procedures for reporting cases. This impactful workshop left a positive impression on 140 students from public schools in Agra.

Awareness about sexual harassment at workplace
Umeed conducts a impactful Women’s Welfare Society meeting for the women workforce at Metro & Metro every quarter. These sessions aim to educate them about their rights, significance, and value both in the workplace and within their homes and society at large. Collaborating with Mahila Jankalyan Society, our commitment is to ensure that our company is a secure space for women, recognizing that a safe workplace is not just a privilege but a legal right for every woman.
Jal Drive
In April 2023, UममEED in collaboration with Annapurna organisation lead a month long donation drive, which provided clean, safe drinking water for 2000 people living on the street. We are currently in talks to install free fresh water taps throughout the city, ensuring that everyone has access to safe drinking water, regardless of their socioeconomic status.
Anaaj/Food Drive
In response to the nutrition crisis triggered by Covid-19 in 2021, we initiated the “Anaaj” program to address this pressing issue and align ourselves with the UN Sustainable Development Goal of “zero hunger” by 2030. Through collaboration with a local NGO,
our initiative provides essential food items such as rice, refined oil, flour, and lentils to households at a rural level. Since its inception in 2021, we have consistently supplied food ration to 50 households per month, contributing to our commitment to combat hunger.to safe drinking water, regardless of their socioeconomic status.
Winter Relief
We organised a blanket drive, providing over 40+ blankets to
multiple government hospitals in Agra to support individuals
during the severe winter seasons of 2022 and 2023.
In 2022, out of more than 150 applications, we successfully identified and selected three candidates from vulnerable communities. These individuals will have their primary and secondary education funded by UMEED.
Vaccination Drive
Throughout 2021, we conducted a year-long vaccination drive in partnership with local hospitals at Metro & Metro. This initiative successfully administered complete vaccine dosages to over 1125 participants, encompassing workers, management, and administrative staff.
Eye Check up Campaign
In January 2024, in partnership with Esic Hospital and under the supervision of the Chief
Medical Officer, we organised eye check-ups for individuals from vulnerable communities. Over70 people underwent testing, and among them, 30 were identified with poor vision. UMEED, is providing funding for the necessary treatments for these individuals.
Breaking Stigmas, Building Sexual and Reproductive Heath Awareness(H.E.A.L)
On December 2, 2022, an impactful #HealthAwarenessCamp, led by the teams of SN Medical College, District Hospital, and the Mental Health Department, UMEED, aimed to educate and empower male and female workers. The camp featured comprehensive discussions by medical experts covering: 1. Symptoms of sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV, syphilis, hepatitis, typhoid, and TB. 2. Insights into the gravity, severity, and prevention strategies for syphilis, AIDS, and related diseases. 3. As part of our commitment to community health, free blood samples were collected from 98 participants, and complimentary medications were provided.
